How We Work
Four phases. No ambiguity about what happens when, who is responsible for what, or what you're actually getting.
Phase One
We come to your home. We measure the space, photograph existing conditions, and take note of anything that could affect the design — ceiling heights, window placement, plumbing locations, structural walls.
We also talk through what you want to change, what your budget is, and what you've seen that you like or don't like. This conversation shapes everything that comes after.
Phase Two
This is where most cabinetry companies cut corners. We don't. Every project gets a complete set of drawings — scaled floor plan, cabinet elevations with dimensions, and material callouts — before anything is ordered or priced.
You review the drawings. If something isn't right, we revise. The goal is that by the time you approve the drawings, there are no open questions about what you're getting.
Phase Three
Once the layout is right, we move to material selection — door style, wood species or finish, hardware, countertop, and any other surfaces. We help you find options that fit your budget without making you feel like you're settling.
After selections are made, you get a detailed written estimate. Line items, not a single number. You should know exactly what you're paying for.
Phase Four
Once drawings are approved and the estimate is signed, we order materials and schedule the build. We coordinate the installation and manage the sequence so trades don't work against each other.
We don't hand the project off. The same team that drew your cabinets is the same team that installs them and is reachable if anything comes up after the fact.
Common Questions
It depends on the scope, but a typical kitchen runs 6–10 weeks from signed estimate to installation — a few weeks for drawings and selections, a few weeks for build, then scheduling installation. We'll give you a realistic timeline after the site visit, not a number designed to get you to sign.
We work with a budget. Tell us what you want to spend and we'll tell you honestly what's achievable. We'd rather have that conversation early than design something you can't afford.
Yes. We design around what you're bringing, or we help you select it — either way works. What matters is that the cabinet drawings account for the actual dimensions of everything going in.
Minor changes before materials are ordered are usually straightforward. Changes after materials are ordered may involve restocking fees or delays. That's why we spend time getting the drawings right before anything is committed to — it protects you as much as it protects us.
We coordinate the countertop and work with your chosen fabricator, but the slab itself is typically supplied and installed by a countertop company. We template, coordinate the sequence, and make sure the cabinets are ready when the countertop installer shows up.
Yes. We come to your home, look at the space, talk through what you want, and give you an honest read on what it will take. No charge, no obligation. If we're not the right fit for your project, we'll tell you that too.
